Of the Omnium's countless Realms, only a fraction have been discovered. Those documented by civilizations with access to the Nexus include:
KARSINA
Karsina is the Realm containing Caldra, the home of Mechanica.
Unlike many documented Realms, Karsina is relatively consistent with conventional physical reality: a tangible world governed by recognizable natural laws, yet shaped profoundly by the technological civilization that inhabits it.
Caldra is the center of Mechanica's civilization and influence. Its technology, industry, and people have become one of the forces extending beyond Karsina through contact with the Nexus.
JENDARRI
Jendarri is the Realm containing Veyruun, home of Primal, and Centov, the home of the Hadria Combine.
Veyruun is a world shared by civilizations with radically different relationships to its environment. Primal's presence is deeply tied to the world itself, while the Hadria Combine has established its own civilization and territory.
The relationship between the inhabitants of Veyruun has shaped Jendarri's history and made the Realm increasingly important as contact with the wider Omnium expands.
THE EMPYREAN PLANE
The Empyrean Plane is a physical realm without a fixed location. It exists beyond ordinary concepts of geography, occupying a place in reality that cannot be reached.
It is the center of Eclipse and the home of the Ilyri, beings whose nature allows them to cross the Veil and enter other Realms without relying on Rifts created by the Convergence.
Empyrean Plane itself is diffuclt to understand. Its landscapes, structures, and boundaries do not conform easily to the physical laws of other Realms, and yet it is home to numerous physical beings.
To most, the Empyrean is less a distant world than an intrusion from somewhere that should have remained unreachable.
KOVANTHE
Kovanthe contains the Rel Galaxy, an immense region of inhabited space claimed in large part by the forces of Dominion.
They have has conquered hundreds of worlds throughout the galaxy, establishing its primary operational center within the Morgath planetary system. At its epicenter: Morgath Prima.
Kovanthe is defined not by a single world, but by the scale of the civilization that has expanded across it. Its vast distances conceal countless occupied worlds, contested territories, and civilizations absorbed into Dominion's reach.
Yet their control is not absolute. Resistance continues to emerge among the worlds it has conquered, including the growing efforts of AEGIS to reclaim them.
THE ABYSS
The Abyss is a finite Realm that cannot be understood through ordinary topology. Its boundaries exist, but cannot be reached in any conventional sense. Those who travel outward eventually find themselves returned to somewhere within the Realm, making its limited space effectively endless.
Much of the Abyss consists of immense subterranean caverns, though an impossible sky illuminated by twin moons stretches above. Beyond this enclosed system lies nothing that its inhabitants have been able to reach.
The Realm is home to Nethrys, though little is understood about the civilization that has grown within it. Though the Abyss itself cannot be escaped through conventional means, legions of Nethrys have nevertheless appeared beyond its boundaries. The Abyss is not entirely isolated from the rest of existence. Throughout history, portions of it have intruded upon other Realms, most notably Quill. The inhabitants of the Daylands remember these incursions as manifestations of "the Dusk Below", giving rise to countless myths of demons, spirits, and things crawling upward from beneath the world.
With the Veil now broken, the boundaries between Realms have become increasingly unstable, and Nethrys has begun to exploit the fractures. Whether their incursions are deliberate acts of conquest or merely aberrations of the Abyss itself remains unknown. To those who encounter them, the distinction matters little. Something from a world with no way out has nevertheless found a way in.
And beneath it all, something ancient is beginning to wake.
YTHRAM
Ythram is the Realm containing Eionaris, the homeworld of the hivemind Nexahl V'oth and the origin of the Xeno.
Little is presently known of the wider Realm beyond Eionaris. Encounters beyond Ythram make it difficult to determine which species are native to the Realm and what is a foreign entity that has become an extension of the hivemind. At least several hundred vastly different species have been contacted among the Xeno, ranging from biological organisms to artificial and biomechanical lifeforms.
As contact between Realms increases, Ythram has become one of the least understood realities known to those beginning to study the Omnium. Even the nature of Eionaris itself remains uncertain beneath the influence of its most powerful inhabitant.
QUILL
Quill is a Realm containing the Daylands, the corporeal world inhabited by the Ancient and the kingdoms of Aetherion, Haskul, Asendria, and Far Reach. To those living here, existence is traditionally understood as a world suspended between two greater realms. The Daylands lies between the Dawn Above and the Dusk Below.
These beliefs are not entirely mythical. Both the Empyrean Plane and the Abyss have intruded upon Quill throughout its history, leaving behind stories that have shaped its cultures and religions.
Yet the inhabitants of the Daylands do not understand these Realms as the Omnium does. They are not literally the heavens above and hell below, but separate realities whose influence has crossed into Quill. For the Ancient, however, the distinction is meaningless as it remains caught in the middle. The unveiling of the Nexus is forcing them to learn what those legends were really about.
THE NEXUS
The Nexus is a distinct plane of existence through which countless Realms can interact. Born from the Convergence, it is a physical dimension where unrealized possibilities can take form, reflecting the Realms not as they are, but as they could have been.
To those who enter it, the Nexus is a realm without ordinary geography or time. Its landscapes and inhabitants may be native to the Nexus, or manifestations of possibilities that never became reality.
The Nexus is more than a passage between Realms. What happens within it can influence established reality, allowing possibilities that never existed to become tangible and potentially alter the worlds from which they came.
CHAOS
Chaos exists beyond the Veil's boundaries of established reality, existing where the structures separating the Realms and the Nexus begin to break down. Ordinary distinctions of space, matter, time, and abstraction are increasingly unreliable within Chaos.
Whether it is a place, a state of existence, or something beyond either remains unknown. What is known is that it lies beyond the boundaries of what the civilizations of the Omnium can presently understand. It is the space between.
