Into the Wilds
Veyruun is a massive terrestrial world of endless forests, vast oceans, and ancient mountains. Much of its wilderness remains untouched, home to countless species and civilizations that have existed for thousands of years. It is a place of natural splendor.
Primal is not a nation, but a loose alliance of packs, clans, tribes, and spiritual orders scattered across the wilds. Humans, Beastfolk, sapient animals, and intelligent plants live alongside one another without a dominant species. Despite their differences, they share a common belief: life is sacred, and unchecked consumption is an affront to it. However, Primal beings do not believe nature is gentle.
Life is created and destroyed without apology, and those living on Veyruun have learned to do the same. Death is accepted as part of the natural order, and what they reject is exploitation. Taking life without respect is unacceptable, punishable by the same.
Three allied tribes stand at the heart of Primal. The Bloodtooth are hunters and warriors who reclaimed the highlands of their ancestors. The Withered are survivors of an ecological catastrophe who now live among the poisoned lands left behind by foreign invaders. The Bloomward are sentient botanical creatures rooted in Veyruun itself, preserving its ancient forests and living memory. Though united against their common foes, the three increasingly disagree on what it means to protect life.
The Hadria Combine is their oldest enemy, an extraterrestrial corporate civilization that has spent generations extracting Veyruun's resources and corrupting its lands in the name of profit. To the native tribes, they are simply known as the Badbloods.
The Convergence has brought a new threat. The once thriving ecosystem of the Sundered Reach has become a breeding ground for creatures with no place in the natural order. As the balance of the wild begins to collapse, Primal must decide whether its oldest laws are enough to survive a threat unlike anything it has faced before.
